The Arc of Fayette, Lamar and Marengo Counties takes all referrals for our services regardless of the severity of disability, accepting intellectually and developmentally disabled individuals with psychiatric needs, profound intellectual disabilities, and/or significant behavioral challenges, as well as those who are medically fragile.
We handle the most critical cases, in addition to working successfully with individuals with moderate disabilities.
The Arc has programs from adolescents to adults. The majority of adults served by The Arc, stay in our programs until the end of life.
The services are offered based on referrals from the Department of Mental Health via local Mental Health Centers or via the Call Center operated by the Department of Mental Health.
The Striving for Success (Lamar County) 2nd Time Around Therapeutic Centers (Marengo County) are dynamic and progressive day programs that provide individually tailored services for a diverse group of adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Our community includes persons with Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Epilepsy, sensory and mobility impairments.

Susie's Washy Wash is a wash and fold laundromat donated by Susie Lowe in September 2017. It is located at 2223 Temple Avenue North Fayette, Alabama.
The Wash and Fold laundromat provides employment to two people with disabilities.
The Arc of Fayette, Lamar and Marengo Counties Inc is committed to supporting the rights of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live in residential settings as valued members of their communities.
Thirteen (13) agency operated group homes are located throughout the Counties of Fayette and Lamar. Nine (9) homes are located in Marengo County. Homes are beautifully designed, well maintained, with warm and inviting landscaping suited to their neighborhoods. Residents are true members of their communities and enjoy leisure activities in their neighborhoods. Many have established relationships and connections with neighbors.
Each group home is staffed with direct support professionals. Residential Coordinators provide day-to-day supervision. Program directors provide additional assistance and knowledge based on their areas of expertise.
